Swainson's Hawk is a raptor and a medium-sized member of the Buteo genus. It broadly overlaps in size with the Red-tailed Hawk (B. jamaicensis), a related species found as a breeding resident almost throughout North America.

The common kestrel is a bird of prey species belonging to the kestrel group of the falcon family Falconidae. It is also known as the European kestrel, Eurasian kestrel, or Old World kestrel.
